Font Sets to Download

Freely distributable font sets:

funfonts.tar.gz (2.5Mb) - 76 unusual fonts

msttcorefonts.tar.gz (3.2Mb) - Microsoft core True Type fonts - Arial, Comic Sans etc.

fonts.tar.gz (158Mb) - Large collection of 6700+ fonts.

Installing in Mandriva

1. Download the tar.gz to a convenient folder - e.g Desktop

2. Open the folder in Nautilus - Places > Desktop

3. Right-click on the tar.gz and select Extract Here

4. Start the Mandriva Linux Control Center - Applications > Tools > System Tools > Configure Your Computer

5. Goto the System tab and click Manage, add and remove fonts

6. Click Import then Add

7. Navigate to the extracted font folder i.e Desktop/funfonts

8. Select all the fonts in the folder (Ctrl + A) then click OK

9. Click Install to add the fonts to the system. Once completed click Cancel to close the Import Fonts window.

10. Close and reopen the font manager to see the newly imported fonts.
